Leisure Time Filter Clean (QT)

Liquid filter cleaner

Concentrated formula for deep cleaning of filters, which removes dirt, oil, grease and scale.

Why should filters be cleaned with a filter cleaner?

Cartridge filters are made of a micro fleece. This fleece consists of millions of tiny fibers which trap and hold dirt particles that are in the water. Because the water also contains greases and oils, these little fibers clump together. And it is therefore no longer possible to filter properly. A simple rinsing of the filter does not eliminate these oils and greases. Bacteria can then accumulate and multiply in these dirt deposits on the filter fleece. This can make the filter a risk factor for your spa water.

Filter Clean dissolves the greases and oils and thereby cleans the little fibers of the filter fleece. They can then work properly again and effectively clean the water.

For this reason, a professional filter cleaning every 2-4 weeks is necessary. Cleaning with a filter cleaner also extends the life of the filter. However, you should replace the filter after a maximum of one year.

Features

  • Use for spa cartridge and sand filters
  • Removes oil, grease, dirt and soap
  • Works overnight

Advantages

  • An overnight soak will assure complete removal of all contaminants, including those that may have been deeply set over months of use and cannot be removed by rinsing (oils, greases, etc.)

Application

Frequency: 4-weekly cleaning.

  1. Remove the filter from the spa.
  2. Fill a clean plastic bucket with 30 liters (8 gallons) of clean water, pour 1/3 bottle of Filter Clean into the bucket and mix it with the water.
  3. Place the filter in the bucket with the Filter Clean solution, making sure that it is completely covered by the liquid.
  4. Soak for a minimum of 3 hours. For maximum effectiveness, soak overnight.
  5. Remove filter from solution and rinse off with a high pressure hose. When the cleaning solution is not too dirty, you can use it again.
  6. Place the filter back in the spa.

Tips

  • Filters should be cleaned every 2-4 weeks.
  • For maximum benefit, allow the filter to dry before reinstalling. This causes the last bacteria to die off.
  • If you soak the filter for another night in a chlorine solution, the last debris will oxidize and the filter will be white again.

Compatible with

  • Chlorine sanitizers
  • Bromine sanitizers
  • Biguanide sanitizers
